- For nativized perennial flax, there are four Watershed records: near Buffalo campground, W of Saguache; Wagon Wheel Gap, south of Creede; near Lily Lake, west of Conejos; and in La Botica, La Jara canyon. This exotic blue flax was found in meadows in all these locations. (The one photorecord of Linum perenne near South Fork, 2021, is questionable.) BONAP does not accept the Watershed identifications, while Ackerfield 2020 shows scattered counties in Colorado, though only one near the Watershed (in Conejos Co). FNA cites Linum experts who report that most herbarium specimens recorded as L. perenne are quite likely L. lewisii var. lewisii. BONAP shows very scattered locations around the USA, with none from the Rio Grande drainage.
