- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Of nodding saxifrage there are less than 10 Watershed collections, most from rocky slopes of the tundra on both sides of the Valley: e.g., California Peak in the north Cristos (1999), Upper Alamosita drainage in the Culebras (2015), Conejos Peak summit in the south San Juans (2013). These and a few collections from north central New Mexico (including Santa Fe Co) mark the southeastern limit of the USA distribution, which is largely the Rockies up to the Canadian border.
