- Comments
- The Watershed’s only alumroot is very common, on both sides of the Valley, growing in rock crevices and sometimes open meadows, from foothills up into the tundra. It is not present in the Basin. In New Mexico, Heuchera parvifolia follows the Rio Grande drainage to the border with Mexico, but no farther. It is solidly present in all Western states of the USA except for Washington, Oregon, and most of California. Note that this is a variable species, and the lower elevation and higher elevation may look quite different.
