NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Box elder has two locations in the Watershed, both from Costilla Co: the city park of Manassa (1986) and a location withheld (1989). Box elder is introduced to Colorado, but has naturalized along river and canyon bottoms. It is present in the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico from Rio Arriba and Taos counties to the Mexican border.
