NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. The Watershed has Salix irrorata ecords from three widely dispersed locations: Alamosa Co, Alamosa National Wildlife refuge; Saguache Co, Trickle mountain; Conejos Co, two 1899 records from “Los Pinos,” presumably Rio de los Pinos. These are all reasonable identifications, since this willow, in the USA a Rocky Mountain plant, extends down the Rio Grande drainage into New Mexico to the border with Texas. Kittel (2023) names Saguache and Mineral as counties with presence verified by the author. She describes the habitat as "rocky stream banks and washes" (p. 162).
