- Comments
- Northern bedstraw is easily found on both sides of the Valley, especially in shaded, slightly mesic habitats. The Hope Creek photorecord (Mineral Co, 2018) was taken the summer after an intense forest fire destroyed a mixed conifer woodland that had many dead Engelmann spruce. This circumboreal species is common across the northern third of the USA, with an extension down the Rockies nearly to the Mexican border with New Mexico. It does not continue on down the Rio Grande drainage of Texas.
