- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Of Arkansas rose in the Watershed, there are only two locations, one from Pinos Creek SW of Del Norte (a record Ackerfield and BONAP do not accept), and one from La Botica in La Jara canyon, shown by BONAP (2022) but not Ackerfield (2022). There are five iNaturalist observations called P. arkansana (2019-2021), but the photographs do not show the details needed for a good determination. BONAP has prairie rose following the Rio Grande drainage in New Mexico to the Mexican border. Allred et al. (2020), however, indicate only counties in north central New Mexico, including those adjacent to the Watershed. Largely this is a Great Plains and Midwest species, but more occurrences in the Watershed should be sought.
