- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Potentilla supina, there are five Watershed locations recorded by Ramaley 1929-1935 in the Upper Basin, Alamosa Co. They are followed by two later records: Mountain Home Reservoir (1999, Costilla Co), and Baca NWR (2012). Ackerfield (2015) shows Conejos, with no vouchers in SEINet. The plant prefers lower-elevation riparian and lacustrine locations, and has a scattered but wide range that includes all states west of the Mississippi except for Arkansas, California, and Nevada. It has been recorded as far south in the Rio Grande drainage as Doña Ana Co, New Mexico. Note that the subspecies paradoxa is the plant native to North America.
