- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Judging from vouchers, Potentilla subjuga is a common Watershed cinquefoil of the higher montane, subalpine, and alpine, recorded from a variety of habitats but most often talus slopes, gentle tundra meadows, and forest openings—on both sides of the Valley. It is recorded from the neighboring counties of Rio Arriba and Taos, New Mexico, but no farther down stream in the Rio Grande drainage. Its USA range is primarily the Rockies of Colorado, with a broken extension on up those mountains into Montana.
