- There are only two Watershed herbarium vouchers of Potentilla biennis, both from Saguache Co: near the junction of Hwy 114 and 41G west of the town of Saguache (1983), and 20 miles WNW of the town of Saguache (1998). Ackerfield (2015) shows Conejos Co and BONAP (2022) shows Conejos and Alamosa counties, with no vouchers in SEINet. This species, which prefers margins of bodies of water. is found in all Western states. The Watershed marks the southeast edge of its USA distribution, with no occurrences farther south in the Rio Grande drainage.
