- YES Madison Brown: Alamosa Co, by Mosca Creek near trailhead in the Great Sand Dunes NPP, 3 May 2024
- Comments
- So far there are two records of Ranunculus repens from the Watershed: Conejos Co, 4 miles SWS of La Jara Reservoir, found at the margin of a pond (1987); and Mosca Creek near trailhead (2024, iNaturalist observation #213580809). Creeping buttercup is an introduced plant with distinctive leaves, taking root at the stem nodes. BONAP shows is has been reported from most USA states—the exceptions currently being Oklahoma, North Dakota, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida. More collections are to be expected from the Watershed. The farthest down the Rio Grande drainage this species has been found is Sandoval Co, New Mexico.
