- Parry's primrose typically grows along streams and lakes and among bogs and marshes in the subalpine—but it reaches into the tundra, and can be found in the upper montane. There are no records from the Culebras, but it is collected in the Cristos of northern New Mexico. The USA range is the Central and Southern Rockies and the Intermountain region of Nevada and Utah. It follows the Rio Grande drainage only as far as Santa Fe Co, New Mexico.
