- Comments
- Alpine primrose is typically found on dry rocky alpine slopes, often among scree. The majority of Watershed records of Primula angustifolia come from the north Cristos and the Culebras. For instance a number of times it has been recorded from the South Zapata Lake trail on the northwest flank of Blanca Peak. The two outliers are a collection from above Crystal Lake north of Creede (Mineral Co, 1996) and one from Sheep Mountain W of Villa Grove (Saguache Co, 1971). The USA distribution Primula angustifolia is limited to the Rockies of Colorado and New Mexico, with records from the Rio Grande drainage in Taos and Santa Fe counties, New Mexico, but none farther south.
