- Comments
- Stuckenia pectinata is the more collected of the two species of Stuckenia in the Watershed, mostly from moving irrigation water, and all from the Upper Basin. Probably it is under-collected and present in the Lower Basin. Wildlife refuges in the Basin may be helping preserve this species in the Valley (it is an important source of feed for birds). It is present in all states of the USA except Georgia, and follows the Rio Grande drainage to the Gulf of Mexico.
