- For Stuckenia filiformis, there are only three Watershed locations: 10 m. south of Saguache (Saguache Co, Russell Lakes SWA); 2 miles W of La Veta pass (Costilla Co); and near Alamosa (Alamosa Co). The USA distribution for this aquatic is mainly the Rocky Mountains, with scattered locations in the Pacific Coast states and across the northern third of the Nation. The distribution in New Mexico is very thin, with perhaps a stock tank plant in Doña Ana Co marking the farthest down stream in the Rio Grande drainage.
