- Comments
- There are only five Watershed locations for Potamogeton natans: one from the Rio Grande floodplain in the town of Alamosa; two from the Alamosa NWR area; one from a flowing irrigation canal near Monte Vista; and one from De Herrera Lake 23 miles W of Conejos. Note that his last is the same location for Potamogeton epihydrus. This pondweed is present, in a scattered fashion, in all USA regions except for the southwest quarter of the nation. Its farthest extension down the Rio Grande drainage is Rio Arriba, Taos, and Sandoval counties of New Mexico.
