- Comments
- In the Watershed, Mexican dock is the most commonly collected native Rumex, occupying mesic conditions of all sorts from basin to montane, and often adapting to disturbed ground such as reservoir edges and road and street sides. Found in all USA states except those in the South, the plant follows the Rio Grande drainage down through New Mexico to the Mexican border. Note that using key characters to distinguish R. occidentalis, R. triangulivalvis, and R. utahensis requires a close look at the inner tepals.
