- Comments
- Along with Polygonum douglasii, Polygonum aviculare is the most collected knotweed in the Watershed. It takes advantage of any flat open space, often disturbed ground but also by woods and in meadows from the montane down to Basin farms. It has a special fondness for cracks in cement sidewalks. It is found in every state, nearly every county, of the USA, and follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico to the Big Bend country of Texas.
