- In the Watershed waterpepper has been recorded from moist Basin meadows and on the edge of the Rio Grande River, next to a slough of the river due north of Del Norte. So far there have been a total of 5 records. Persicaria hydropiper is an exotic, with scattered records throughout the Rockies. The Watershed locations are the only ones in the Rio Grande drainage.
