- Tiny trumpet is quite common on both sides of the Watershed, usually in moist habitats such as beside streams and in seeps, but also on less mesic meadow slopes. It is occasionally found in disturbed soil such as road cuts. Although not yet collected from the Culebras, Collomia linearis is present in the Cristos of New Mexico. Its USA distribution covers all states west of the Great Plains, the northern Great Plains, and (spottily) the Great Lakes regions. It follows the Rio Grande drainage halfway down New Mexico but not farther down stream.
