Comments
There are six records from 1921 labelled just “north of Alamosa,” possibly from the San Luis Lake area. Then nearly a century later, this gilia was collected in 2012 and 2013 from the Baca NWR (Saguache Co), and in 2024 observed east of Medano Ranch (Alamosa Co). All of these occurrences would constitute extreme outliers, ecological relicts, of an Aliciella that otherwise has not been recorded east of west Utah. Ackerfield notes of the earlier records that they may be Aliciella leptomeria.
