- In the Watersjed American alpine speedwell is common in the same habitats as V. serpyllifolia—wet meadows, stream sides, springs, seeps, snow melt—but more abundant in the tundra. It is found in all mountain regions of the Watershed. In the USA it is present in all states west of the Great Plains, and the Watershed records, along with those from northern New Mexico, mark the SE limit of its range.
