NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Of Penstemon virens there are only four Watershed vouchers, widely dispersed in location and vegetative zone: Rio Grande Co, Cropsy Peak, tundra; Alamosa Co, near Zapata Falls, lower montane; Saguache Co, Buffalo Pass cpgd, upper montane; Conejos Co, W of La Jara, lower montane. Only the Alamosa record is accepted by Ackerfield (2022), and only the Saguache record by BONAP. The plant’s normal range is the Front Range of Colorado and Wyoming.
