- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Although common elsewhere in Colorado, there is only one collection of this miniscule flower from the Watershed: Costilla Co, “On La Veta Pass at Huerfano County line” (1986). Collinsia parviflora has been recorded from Archuleta Co and from Rio Arriba Co in New Mexico, so can be expected in the south San Juans of Conejos Co, within the Rio Grande watershed. These locations lie at the southeastern corner of the USA distribution, which inccompasses all states and the majority of counties west of the Great Plains. Note that Collinsia parviflora is a tiny, early season flower, and easily overlooked (Hogan and Elliot, 2022).
