- Comments
- Floodplains, road sides, alkali flats, mountain meadows, river sides, montane understory—all habitats for this late-summer yellow owl clover, which is collected everywhere in the Watershed except for the Culebras. Quite likely it is present there, judging from the numerous collections from the Cristos in New Mexico. Orthocarpus luteus is wide spread throughout the Western states and western Great Plains. It follows the Rio Grande drainage almost to the Mexican border but no farther down stream.
