- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For lesser twayblade there are only four Watershed locations: near Cumbres pass (Conejos Co, 1985), near La Manga pass (Conejos Co, 1985, 1987); Dorsey Creek in the north Cristos (Saguache Co, 1999), and N of Medano pass in the northern Cristos (Saguache Co, 1998). It is frequently collected in the San Juan River drainage, and also in the Cristos of New Mexico. In the USA the Rockies distribution is somewhat disjunct from the rest of the range of this orchid, which spreads across the northern quarter of the country from the Olympic Peninsula to Maine. It follows the Rio Grande drainage no farther than Santa Fe Co, New Mexico.
