- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Dwarf rattlesnake plantain is rarely found in the Watershed, with only two collections: in Mineral Co, a little south of South Fork (1995); and in Saguache Co, west slope of the Cristos, by a branch of Medano Creek (2008). There are a few records from Rio Arriba, Taos, and Santa Fe counties in New Mexico, within the Rio Grande drainage. The USA distribution in Colorado, New Mexico, and west Arizona is disjunct from the main distribution, which covers the Great Lakes, upstate New England, and the Appalachians. Three other isolated populations lie in northwest Montana, central Montana, and west South Dakota.
