- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Early coralroot has only two Watershed records: Saguache Co, San Isabel Creek (1995); and Conejos Co, near Bear Lake (1988). New Mexico has a few collections of Corallorhiza trifida from Rio Arriba and Taos counties, on the Watershed border. There is also one collection from the southern New Mexico county of San Miguel, from Horse Thief Canyon on the Pecos River, which flows into the Rio Grande. That would mark the southernmost reach of this circumboreal plant.
