- Colorado four-o'clock is a fairly common foothill plant on both sides of the Watershed, often found in pinyon-juniper habitat, but also road side and in the middle of hiking trails. Mirabilis multiflora can form bushes nearly two feet high. It has been often collected from the Rio Grande valley in New Mexico and follows the Rio Grande into Texas at least as far as Big Bend. It is a desert Southwest plant of southern California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and southwest Texas.
