- Of greater bladderwort, the Watershed has only six locations: "Alamosa Co" (1896), "Rio Grande" in Alamosa Co (1896), Russell Lakes SWA under bullrushes by a lake (1991), near Hourglass Lake in Conejos Co (1988), Price Lake in Conejos Co (2006), and NE of Alamosa NWP in Alamosa Co (2024). The range in elevation fits the plant’s known habits. The species has the widest distribution of bladderworts in the USA, recorded from every state except Mississippi. However, it follows the Rio Grande drainage only into Sandoval Co, New Mexico, no farther down stream. Note that some authorities place U. macrorhiza within the Old World species, U. vulgaris.
