- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. In 1991, David J. Cooper collected this blue-eyed-grass around the Upper Basin—in the San Luis Lakes and Russell Lakes areas, and with no location other than “Saguache”). Then in 1997 a potential wildlife conservation area survey found it by a creek just E of Villa Grove. Sisyrinchium pallidum is uncommon in its restricted range of southern Wyoming and central Colorado. So the Watershed observations would be the only ones from the entire Rio Grande drainage.
