- In the Watershed Sisyrinchium demissum is a Basin plant that sometimes occupies pasture land and now is mostly found on wildlife preserves in the Valley floor. It is sometimes designated as of conservative concern. The most recent observation is from the Great Sand Dunes (26 June 2022), iNaturalist observation 144816012. Possibly stiff blue-eyed grass was wide spread in the Watershed basin before grazing and farming. It is more common in New Mexico, throughout the state, including the Rio Grande drainage down to the Mexican border (and a little bit beyond, to Jeff Davis Co in west Texas). It is a Southwest USA plant mainly of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico. In Colorado it is uncommon.
