- There are only four records of Phacelia hastata from the Watershed, all from the west-side mountains: 3 miles NW of Jarosa Peak (Conejos Co, 1987); saddle below Antero Peak (Saguache Co, 1998); Continental Divide trail just N of Wolf Creek pass (Mineral Co, 2014); and along the Conejos River (Conejos Co, 2021, iNaturalist observation). This third is a photorecord that would add Mineral to counties indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). These observations would represent nearly the farthest southeast corner of the USA distribution (which covers all Western states), and nearly the only ones from the entire Rio Grande drainage. BONAP shows Sandoval Co, New Mexico, with no vouchers in SEINet.
