- Of Rocky Mountain phacelia there have been 11 Watershed collections so far, representing only four widely separated locations: 1-2 miles west of La Veta Pass, hills NW and SW of the town of Saguache, Wild Cherry Creek in the north Cristos, and a rocky outcrop near Terrace Reservoir (Conejos Co). In Colorado Phacelia denticulata is primarily a Front Range plant. The USA range of this uncommon flower is the south Rocky Mountains. Except for a few occurrences in south Wyoming and north New Mexico (Colfax Co), it would be endemic to CO. So the Watershed occurrences are the only ones in the Rio Grande drainage.
