NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Of ballhead waterleaf there are only two Watershed collections, both from Conejos Co: one labeled just “Conejos” (1981), the other “2.5 mi S of Dipping Lakes, 4 mi WSW of Red Lake” (1988). Conejos Co marks the farthest SE corner of this plant’s USA range, which is mountain regions of all states west of the Great Plains except for Arizona and New Mexico. Conejos Co would also be the unique location for this species in the entire Rio Grande drainage.
