- Comments
- Elodea canadensis has not often been collected from the Watershed. The few vouchers come from lakes, ponds, and stream backwaters in the south San Juans. Ackerfield shows Alamosa Co, with no vouchers in SEINet—a distribution point that might indicate presence in the Watershed Cristos or not. The species is recorded from Rio Arriba, Taos, Colfax, and Sandoval counties of New Mexico, but no farther down the Rio Grande drainage. This native waterweed is widely spread around the USA, with locations in all states except for Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, and Georgia.
