- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Swamp currant is uncommon in the Watershed, found only on the west side in the south San Juans. A repeated location is Wagon Wheel Gap NW of South Fork. Ackerfield shows Costilla Co, with no vouchers in SEINet. New Mexico records differ according to different authorities. BONAP and Van Arsdale and Geils (2004) indicate the species follows the Rio Grande down to the Texas border. Allred et al. (2020) show only Taos Co. Either distribution would lie at the southernmost point of its USA range.
