- Comments
- In the Watershed golden currant is an occasional lower-elevation bush that for its natural habitat seems to prefer dry sandy or rocky slopes and rock faces. It has also moved into shrublands and ruderal habitats such as ditch banks and urban flood plains. It is native to all western USA states and much of the western Great Plains, and adventive on farther north and east. It follows the Rio Grande all the way to the Great Bend country of Texas.
