- In the Watershed marsh felwort has been vouchered only once, a specimen from “Elk Creek Park” in Rio Grande Co (1933). That location is pretty mysterious, maybe a good thing since this species ought to be protected in the Watershed. There are only two more, photorecord, locations. Lomatogonium rotatum, however, may be more common in the Watershed than this suggests. It blooms very late in the summer buried in deep grass, so hard to detect, and other locations may be protected. There is one, and only one, location in Rio Arriba Co, New Mexico (Vermejo Park). These Rio Grande drainage occurrences lie at the very southern edge of the USA distribution, which is the central mountains of Colorado and southeast Wyoming, with a disjunct population in east Idaho and west Montana (according to BONAP, with no vouchers in SEINet).
