- Exact locations are often withheld for this rarely observed, dwarf alpine Delphinium. But it has been recorded from the alpine in both east and west ranges: in Saguache Co (near Bushnell Lake) and Mineral CO (near Creede); Tim Hogan has documented it a number of times from the north Cristos, and there are records from Costilla Co, in the tundra of the Culebras. Were it not for a few occurrences in the New Mexico counties of Taos and Rio Arriba, Delphinidum alpestre would be a Colorado endemic.
