NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is only one Watershed voucher of Trifolium gymnocarpum, collected by Paul B. Lister from Rio Grande Co, “W of Vegas del Gato” (1924). The locatation is unknown, but that day Lister collected also from Dolores Canyon and the “Alamosa River: toll road,” so the “Vegas del Gato” must be S of Elwood Pass, possibly in Conejos Co. The elevation, “11,000,” does not fit T. gymnocarpon, however—Ackerfield's upper limit is 8,500'. But note that the species has been collected from Rio Arriba and Taos counties of New Mexico, bordering Conejos Co in Colorado. It is recorded from all the Western states of the USA except Washington, and follows the Rio Grande drainage to Bernalillo Co, New Mexico, but no farther down river.
