- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Oxytropis podocarpa, usually a tundra or subalpine species, there are only three Watershed vouchered collections: Major Creek in the north Cristos (Saguache Co, 1943); Cropsy Peak S of Summitville (Rio Grande Co, 1987); and Hidden Lake (Conejos Co, 1988). These form part of a cluster of records from the Southern Rockies of Colorado, lying isolated from a cluster in northwest Wyoming, equally isolated from a few collections in extreme northwest Montana. Note that O. podocarpa is a variable plant, with many synonyms. Apparently Ackerfield (2022) rejects the Rio Grande Co voucher.
