- Comments
- Exotic, the bane of house lawns, black medic has also become naturalized in the Watershed (e.g., Baca NWR, Rio Grande floodplain in Rio Grande and Alamosa counties, montane hillside NW of Saguache, trailheads and roadsides in the North Cristos, etc.). Probably Medicago lupulina is present in most urban areas in the Valley, just not collected—just as it is present in every state of the USA. It follows the Rio Grande drainage from the Watershed to the Big Bend country of Texas.
