- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Wyeth's lupine there are only three Watershed locations, Wagon Wheel Gap in Mineral Co (1911); Tewksbury trailhead SW of South Fork in Rio Grande Co (2004); and Los Mogotes peak in Conejos Co (2003). The last two of these records are determined as Lupinus polyphyllus var. humicola—as Ackerfield also treats L. wyethii. For those who accept L. wyethii as a legitimate species, the USA range (according to BONAP) is all the western states except for California, Arizona, and New Mexico. So the three Watershed locations lie on its extreme southeast corner, and constitue the only records for the entire Rio Grande drainage.
