- Comments
- Typically dwarf lupine is associated with sand dunes and stabilized dune habitats; but two occurrences from the west side of the Watershed (NW of Saguache and S of Del Norte) were found on open, rocky montane slopes—a habitat supported by Ackerfield. Lupinus pusillus is found in sandy and woodland habitats throughout the USA West (except for the West coast), including the western Great Plains. It follows the Rio Grande drainage as far as Socorro Co in New Mexico, but no farther.
