- There exist only three records in the Watershed for Lupinus prunophilus, which is typically a west-slope plant: San Francisco Creek and Million Reservoir (Rio Grande Co); Mogotes Peak (Conejos Co). The first two were next to trails through woods. There may be more locations in the Watershed for plants identified as just Lupinus polyphyllus, not L. polyphyllus var. prunophilus. BONAP, which accepts P. prunophilus as a bona fide species, shows its USA distribution in all the Rocky Mountain states, including Rio Arriba Co, New Mexico. SEINet finds records of it a bit farther, in Sandoval Co, New Mexico—but no farther down the Rio Grande drainage.
