- Comments
- A higher-elevation peavine, Lathyrus lanszwertii var. leucanthus has been recorded from the Watershed mainly in the south San Juans, with one record from the east side of the Valley near La Veta Pass. No doubt it grows elsewhere in the Culebras, given its presence in the Cristos of New Mexico. It ranges through all the states west of the Great Plains, and follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico to Culberson Co of west Texas. Note that Allred et al. (2020) and others treat this species as L. leucanthus.
