- Comments
- For Dalea leporina there are three Watershed records 1930-1956 (La Jara, Romeo, and the Conejos River in Conejos Co), followed by two records 1986 and 1989 (south of San Luis, Costilla Co), followed by a photorecord from 2018, near Los Mogotes in Conejos Co. The habitat is road side, by irrigation ditches, or on open grassy terrain. In the USA the central range for D. leporina is Arizona and New Mexico, with scattered locations in the northern Great Plains and Midwest. In New Mexico, the flower follows the Rio Grande drainage from the border with Colorado to the border with Mexico, and from there on down to the Big Bend country of Texas.
