- Rocky Mountain milkvetich has been relatively often collected in the Watershed. The bulk of records come from the north end of the Valley, a little south of Poncha Pass, but others are scattered in the four main mountain regions. The Costilla records (Rydberg, 1900) are from the Gray-back mining camps south of Blanca Peak (the species will take advantage of disturbed ground). This is a milkvetch of Utah, Colorado (both east and west slopes), northeast Arizona, and the northern half of New Mexico, including the Rio Grande drainage. Note that the 2022 photorecord from northwest of Villa Grove (Saguache Co) shows a plant with uncharacteristically deep yellow inflorescence.
