- For Ripley's milkvetch there are over 70 Watershed vouchers but location data is protected. The USDA survey by Juanita A. R. Ladyman on the plant gives locations up to 2003, and reports declines in some areas. The population may have seasonal swings. In the summer of 2021, it could be found rather easily in the area of the Coejos River. Besides Conejos Co, it has been recorded only from the contingent counties of Rio Arriba and Taos of New Mexico.
